Bill Davenport is an artist who lives and works in Houston, TX. Born in Greenfield MA in 1962, he received a BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design (1986) and an MFA in Sculpture from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. Davenport moved to Houston in the late 1980's to participate in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Core Artist in Residency program (1990-1992). In the past 15 years, his work has appeared in countless group exhibitions in the region, New York and London.

In 2005, Davenport's work was included in New Texas Painting at Diverseworks, Houston, Drive Friendly (3-person show with Brad Tucker and Francesca Fuchs) at IBID Projects, London and Conversational Lag, Volume Gallery, New York. Forever Rafter is Davenport's 6th solo exhibition at Inman Gallery. He has had solo exhibitions at Angström Gallery, Dallas (1999, 2003), Homeroom, Munich (1999) and Cristinerose Gallery, New York (1997).
